Steven Patrick Morrissey mais conhecido por Morrissey, (Manchester, Inglaterra, 22 de maio de 1959), é um cantor inglês.
Ficou conhecido por ser o vocalista da banda inglesa The Smiths. Quando a banda terminou em 1987, Morrissey desenvolveu uma carreira solo bem sucedida e é um dos poucos artistas a ter músicas no Top 10 das paradas do Reino Unido em três décadas diferentes. É adepto do vegetarianismo e foi, principalmente durante o seu tempo nos The Smiths, assumidamente celibatário, o que causou grande estranheza e curiosidade por parte da mídia e do público em geral .
Os concertos de Morrissey ficaram célebres devido ao número incrível de pessoas que constantemente invadiam o palco para poderem tocar no seu herói. Várias vezes os seus shows tiveram que ser interrompidos por causa da quantidade de invasores presentes no palco que tentavam agarrar o cantor. Hoje em dia, devido à segurança apertada, a frequência das invasões de palco é bastante baixa.
Morrissey é considerado uma das influências mais importantes da sua geração na música pop . Os seus detractores descrevem as suas obras como depressivas, mas os seus fans destacam o seu humor mordaz e sarcástico que usa nas referências a desgostos amorosos patentes nas suas canções.
A 16 de Dezembro de 2006, no concurso televisivo inglês Britain's Greatest Living Icon, "O Maior Britânico Vivo" (numa escolha feita através dos votos do público em geral) Morrissey classificou-se em segundo lugar apenas atrás de Sir David Attenborough, ficando à frente de, entre outros, Paul McCartney.
